to My Book Club Online
The School of Communications has gathered together a group of teachers who not only love great literature, they love sharing online with students the discovery and exploration of classic literature through a Biblical worldview lens. Finally, they love the idea of connecting Christian students through online discussion and participation in cooperative projects.
During our first MBCO session, students registered from Florida, Texas, Ohio, Connecticut, Kentucky, Austria and Argentina. One of the exciting components of MBCO is the cross cultural communication opportunities.
MBCO is open to students in Christian private school and homeschool programs. Each student (or class) who registers for the next MBCO session must have access to an e-mail account, an internet connection from home or school and a copy of the specific book selection.
Students will participate in MBCO book clubs via asynchronous communications
(e-mail and discussion board). They will also join a cooperative initiative through trading MBCO literature trading cards with other participating classrooms.
